【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구 수성구청 태권도선수단(구청장 김대권)은 지난 17일부터 18일까지 강원도 삼척시 삼척시민체육관에서 열린 제24회 여성가족부장관기 전국태권도대회에서 여자일반부 개인전에서 금메달 3개, 은메달 2개, 동메달 1개를 획득하며  3년 연속 종합우승을 차지했다.

대회 둘째 날인 18일, 수성구 청 태권도선수단은 류지수(–57kg), 유경민(-73kg), 최여진(+73kg) 선수가 각각 금메달을, 강명진(-53kg), 김가현(-73kg) 선수가 은메달을, 이진주(-67kg) 선수가 동메달을 차지하며 종합우승을 달성했다.

류지수 선수는 준결승에서 고양시청 이주아 선수와의 치열한 경기를 거쳐 결승에 진출, 광산시청 황지원 선수를 8:0, 3:0으로 물리치며 금메달을 획득했다.

유경민 선수는 성주군청 황유진 선수를 8:3, 11:2로 이긴 뒤, 같은 팀 김가현 선수의 기권으로 금메달을 추가했다.

최여진 선수는 춘천시청 김수현 선수와의 준결승을 승리로 마친 후, 결승에서 광산구청 김한서 선수를 9:6, 3:1로 물리치며 금메달을 수확했다.

강명진 선수는 결승에서 청주시청 신희진 선수에게 아쉽게 패하며 은메달을 획득했으며, 김가현 선수도 은메달을 추가한 가운데 이진주 선수는 동메달을 따냈다.

김대권 수성구청장은 “우리 선수들이 3년 연속 종합우승을 달성한 것은 정말 자랑스러운 일입니다. 선수들의 노력과 땀에 박수를 보내며, 앞으로도 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.

수성구청은 2015년 여자 태권도선수단을 창단한 이후, 2023년 한국실업최강전에서 8년 연속 단체전 우승이라는 대기록을 세우며 실업 태권도팀으로서 한국 최고의 명문팀으로 자리잡았다.

Daegu Suseong-gu Office Taekwondo Team (Mayor Kim Dae-kwon) won 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal in the women's general individual event at the 24th Minister of Gender Equality and Family Cup National Taekwondo Competition held at Samcheok Citizens' Gymnasium in Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do from the 17th to the 18th, and achieved overall championship for the 3rd consecutive year.

On the second day of the competition, the 18th, the Suseong-gu Office Taekwondo Team achieved overall championship with Ryu Ji-soo (-57kg), Yoo Kyung-min (-73kg), and Choi Yeo-jin (+73kg) winning gold medals each, Kang Myeong-jin (-53kg), Kim Ga-hyeon (-73kg) winning silver medals, and Lee Jin-ju (-67kg) winning bronze medals.

Ryu Ji-soo won the gold medal after a fierce match with Goyang City Hall's Lee Ju-ah in the semifinals, and defeated Gwangsan City Hall's Hwang Ji-won 8:0, 3:0.

Yoo Kyung-min won Hwang Yu-jin from Seongju County Hall 8:3, 11:2, and added a gold medal after Kim Ga-hyeon from the same team forfeited.

Choi Yeo-jin won the semifinals against Chuncheon City Hall's Kim Su-hyeon, and then won the gold medal in the finals by defeating Kim Han-seo from Gwangsan District Hall 9:6, 3:1.

Kang Myeong-jin unfortunately lost to Cheongju City Hall's Shin Hee-jin in the finals, and while Kim Ga-hyeon also added a silver medal, Lee Jin-ju won a bronze medal.

Since establishing the women’s taekwondo team in 2015, Suseong-gu has established itself as the best prestigious team in Korea as an industrial taekwondo team by setting a record of winning the team event for eight consecutive years at the 2023 Korea Industrial Championship.
