국민권익위원회의 청렴도 측정은 44개 공공 의료기관(국립대학병원 및 국립‧지방의료원)을 대상으로 △계약 △환자진료 △내부업무 △조직문화 △부패방지제도 등 5개 항목에 대해 의약품·의료기기 납품업체 관계자, 각 의료기관에 2일이상 입원한 환자의 보호자, 공공의료기관소속 직원, 2년 내 이·퇴직한 직원들을 대상으로 설문이 이루어 졌다. 종합청렴도 결과 안동의료원은 비교 대상인 국립·지방의료원 평균 대비 0.33점 높은 수준이었으며 특히 환자진료(진료과정 투명성, 고가진료 유도·강권 경향, 환자 이의수용 등)영역에서 2019년대비 0.67점이 상승하며 1등급을 유지하며 우수 청렴기관임을 입증했다.

또한 코로나19 감염병전담병원 운영이라는 어려운 상황 속에서도 전국 39개 지방의료원·적십자병원 등 지역거점공공병원을 대상으로 실시한 이번 운영평가는 △양질의 의료 △공익적 보건의료서비스 △합리적 운영 △책임 운영의 4가지 영역으로 구성, 전문 기관을 통한 설문조사, 정성평가, 결산서, 심평원 등 DATA 자료 분석 등으로 평가가 이루어 졌다. 이에 안동의료원은양질의 의료제공, 취약계층 의료 안전망 구축, 코로나19 감염병전담병원 운영 등 공공 사업의 운영 성과를 높이평가받아 3년 연속 A등급을 받았다.

안동의료원은 부패 방지 및 청렴도 향상을 위해 연 2회 이상 전 직원 대상 청렴교육을 실시하고 고충처리위원회를 운영하는 등 조직 내부적으로 공정하고 투명한 업무 환경을 구축하기 위해 노력 중이다.
