안동의료원(원장 이국현)은 18일 봉화군 소천면 커뮤니티센터에서 ‘찾아가는 행복병원’ 합동진료를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

‘찾아가는 행복병원’은 경상북도가 추진하는 공공의료사업으로, 의료취약지역 주민에게 필수 의료서비스를 제공하고 공공병원 진료로 연계하는 지역 공공의료 안전망 역할을 하고 있다.

이날 진료에는 안동의료원 의료진을 비롯해 경북라이온스356-E지구, 경상북도자원봉사센터, 경상북도장애인종합복지관, 한국교통안전공단 대구경북본부 등 5개 기관에서 약 90여 명의 봉사 인력이 참여했다.

안동의료원은 내과, 정형외과, 안과, 산부인과 등 전문의 진료와 함께 X-ray 촬영, 안저·안압 검사, 심전도 및 혈액 검사, 물리치료, 약 처방 등 종합 의료서비스를 제공했으며, 이날 200여 명의 주민이 진료를 받았다.

특히 추가 검사나 치료가 필요한 주민에 대해서는 안동의료원으로 연계해 정밀검사와 입원치료, 수술 등을 지원하고, 퇴원 이후에도 지역사회 돌봄사업과 연계해 지속적인 건강관리가 가능하도록 했다.

이와 함께 이불 세탁, 장수사진 촬영, 교통안전 교육 등 생활지원 프로그램도 병행해 지역 어르신들의 생활 편의 향상에도 기여했다.

이국현 안동의료원장은 “의료취약지역 주민들이 병원을 직접 찾기 어려운 현실을 고려할 때 공공병원이 찾아가는 의료서비스가 중요하다”며 “앞으로도 경상북도 및 유관기관과 협력해 의료와 복지가 연계된 공공의료 안전망을 지속적으로 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The ‘Visiting Happiness Hospital’ is a public medical project promoted by Gyeongsangbuk-do, serving as a regional public medical safety net that provides essential medical services to residents in medically underserved areas and connects them to public hospitals for treatment.

Approximately 90 volunteers participated in the consultation on this day, including medical staff from Andong Medical Center, as well as representatives from five organizations: Gyeongbuk Lions Club District 356-E, Gyeongsangbuk-do Volunteer Center, Gyeongsangbuk-do Welfare Center for the Disabled, and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority.
