경상북도환경연수원(원장 심학보)은 지속적인 국비 사업발굴을 통해 지난1분기 까지 확보한 11억8천만원에 이어, 2분기 3개사업에 공모해 2억7천2백만원의 사업비를 추가 확보해 올해 연간 7개 사업에대한 14억5천2백만원의 국비 사업을 추진한다고 28일 밝혔다.

   이번 2분기 공모를 통해 추가로 확보한 사업은 산림분야에서 2개 사업으로 ‘도시숲·정원관리인 운영사업’ 1억9천2백만원, ‘시민정원사 양성교육사업’ 4천5백만원과 농업분야에서 지난해 우수기관으로 농림부장관상을수상한 ‘학교텃밭 지원사업’ 3천5백만원을 포함 총3개 사업 2억7천2백만원이다.

   이들 사업은모두 도민 일자리창출과 연계된 사업이며 특히 ‘도시숲·정원관리인’,‘학교텃밭 지원사업’을 통해 총25명의 고용효과를 내게 된다.

   신규사업인 도시숲·정원관리인 운영사업은 총11명의 인력을 직접 고용하는 사업이다. 구미시 관내 도시숲과 정원을 관리하는 전문관리인2명과 일반관리인 8명 그리고 행정인력 1명을 포함해 직접 채용해 연말까지 운영하게 되며 연수원에서 양성한 시민정원사들이 일부 채용된다.

   또한 학교텃밭 지원사업도 연수원에서 양성한 도시농업관리사 14명을 선발해도내 7개 중학교를 찾아가 텃밭 조성 및 도시농업교육을 운영하는 사업으로 경상북도환경연수원은 인력양성에서 취·창업까지 연결되는 ’One-Stop 서비스‘ 제공기관으로서의 면모를 갖추었다.  

   아울러 기존 확보한 11억8천만원에 대한 사업인 환경부 국가환경교육 사업예산인’환경연수원 환경교육프로그램 지원사업‘을 통해 연간 2만6천명, 영남권역 청소년 대상 환경교육 사업인 ’푸름이 이동환경교실‘ 연간 8천4백명,’기후변화교육센터 운영사업‘ 1천명에 대한 환경교육사업을 비롯해사회적기업가 육성사업 또한 현재 15개 창업팀을 보육 중이며 예비로 3개 창업팀을 선정해 순조롭게 운영 중이며, 이들 사업에 대해 철저한 수행관리를 통해 차기 년도 지속사업으로의 운영을 위해 직원들이 많은 공을 들이고 있다.

   한편, 이번에 확보한 시민정원사 양성교육 사업의 2021년 신규 교육생을4월 28일부터 경상북도환경연수원 홈페이지를 통해 모집 중이며 5월부터 11월까지 구미시민 40명을 대상으로 교육이 운영된다.
