한국수력원자력(주) 월성원자력본부(본부장 원흥대)는 최근 급격한 코로나19 확산에 따라, 지난 16일 주변지역인 양남면, 문무대왕면, 감포읍의 62개 마을(약 9,000세대)에 KF-94 마스크 24만장을 긴급 지원했다고 17일 밝혔다.

이날 전달된 마스크는 각 읍면 발전협의회를 통해 모든 세대에 배부되며, 지역사회의 코로나19 집단감염을 예방해 지역 주민들의 건강한 삶을 지키는데 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

원흥대 본부장은 “이번 마스크 배부가 지역 주민들이 건강한 일상생활을 하는데 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바란다.”며 “월성본부는 앞으로도 방역물품 및 방역활동 지원, 캠페인 시행 등 다양한 방법을 통해 코로나19 지역사회 확산 방지를 위해 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
