【브레이크뉴스 경주】이성현 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 월성원자력본부(본부장 원흥대)는 지난 16일 월성보안경비대(대장 이학근)가 원자력 방호를 위한 경계 유지 중 바다에 빠진 인명을 구했다고 20일 밝혔다.
월성원자력본부에 따르면 이날 19시 5분경 월성본부 외곽지역 경계를 맡아 근무중이던 경비대원 권모씨(남,40세)는 CCTV 모니터링을 통해 월성본부 남문 인근 해안 갯바위에서 사람이 빠진 것을 발견하였고, 즉시 감포 해양경찰서와 119소방대에 신고하여 신속한 구조 작업이 진행됐다.
바다에 빠진 사람은 인근병원에서 치료 중이며 현재 생명에는 지장이 없는 것으로 확인되었다.
월성본부 장정일 대외협력처장은 “향후에도 24시간 철저한 경계태세를 유지하고, 긴급 상황에 항상 대비하여 원전과 국민 안전을 위해 최선을 다할 것이다.”고 말했다.
