【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 월성원자력본부(본부장 김한성)는 지난 24일 2024년도 상반기 월성본부 지역 소통프로그램을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

주민의 삶의 질 향상과 지역 발전에 대한 소통의 장을 마련하기 위해 개최한 이번 소통프로그램은 김한성 본부장을 비롯하여 동경주(감포읍, 문무대왕면, 양남면) 지역 주민 대표성을 가진 마을 이장 및 부녀 회원, 월성본부 직원 등 총 41명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

이날 소통프로그램은 갈등해결&평화센터 박수선 소장이 진행을 맡았고, ‘지속가능한 지역발전을 위한 지원사업 발굴’을 주제로 총 5개조로 나누어 토의를 진행했다.

지원사업에 대한 본격적인 분임토의 시행 전 ‘사업자지원사업에 대한 소개 및 질의응답’을 통해 사업자지원사업의 추진근거와 대상지역 등 사업의 전반적인 내용부터 ‘23년과 ’24년의 월성본부 주요사업에 대한 내용까지 소개하는 시간을 가졌다.

김한성 본부장은 지역소통프로그램에 참석해 “오늘 소통프로그램은 편안한 분위기에서 지역발전과 마을 주민을 위한 사업지원 방향에 대해 논의하는 시간이 되었으면 한다.”고 인사말을 전했다.

더불어 최근 월성4호기 언론보도와 관련해 “월성본부는 발전소가 안전하게 운영될 수 있도록 만전을 기하고 있다. 원전운영에 대한 정보를 지역 주민들에게 빠르고 정확하게 안내하고, 발전소 전문가와 지역협력부서가 방문 설명하는 등 적극적으로 소통하기 위해 노력할 것“이라고 설명했다.

감포읍 이장단협의회 회장(고하근) 및 참석자들은 “사업자지원사업을 통해 마을에 실질적 혜택이 돌아갈 수 있었으면 한다.”, “일회성 지원이 아닌 장기적 성과를 낼 수 있는 프로젝트성 사업의 발굴이 중요하다.” 등 다양한 의견을 제시했다.
