군에 따르면 왜관읍 농촌중심지활성화사업과 칠곡군 문화도시 사업은 외국인 이웃이 칠곡군에 정착하고 마을의 리더로서 활동하는 미래를 그려보는 실험활동인 ‘어디핀들’을 공동추진한다.

‘어디핀들’ 의미는 고유한 국가의 자랑스러운 문화를 존중하며, 수용성과 포용성, 다양성의 가치를 가진 문화도시 칠곡에서 다양한 문화의 씨앗을 틔울 수 있도록 지원하겠다는 의지를 담고있다.

이를 통해 외국인 이웃들이 가진 삶의 태도와 양식, 칠곡군에서 펼쳐지는 그들만의 라이프스타일일과 성장과정을 조명해보고자 한다.

6월부터 시작된 활동은 외국인 이웃 라운드테이블을 통해 칠곡군에서 해보고싶은 다양한 활동을 나누고 아이디어를 발굴하는 시간을 가진다.

라운드테이블을 통해 발굴된 아이디어는 ‘문화관계활동’으로 펼쳐지며 이 때 참여한 외국인 이웃들은 각 활동별 리더로, 지역에서의 새로운 역할을 경험하게 된다.

마지막으로 10월 한 달 칠곡에서 펼쳐질 문화도시 축제 가운데 더 많은 시민들과 공유하는 자리를 통해 어디서 피어나든 각자의 문화는 소중하고 귀하다는 메시지를 전달할 예정이다.
