【브레이크뉴스 경주】이성현 기자=미술한류의 대표작가인 소산 박대성 화백이 한반도 산하의 기운과 생기를 다시금 일깨워 줄대형 신작 2점을 공개한다.

오는 22일부터 내년 5월 28일까지 경주엑스포 솔거미술관에서 박대성 화백의 신작 ‘코리아 판타지(1200×500cm)’와 ‘청산백운(490×383cm)’ 2점과 소장 작품 4점을 새로 공개하는 ‘코리아 판타지’展이 개최된다.

경주엑스포대공원에 따르면 이번에 전시되는 신작 2점은 박대성 화백이 백두산에서 제주도까지 한반도의 다채로운 산하를 몸으로 경험한 감동을 담아 상고시대부터 현재에 이르기까지의 한반도를 역동적이고 장엄하게 그려내고 있다.

이 두 작품은 조선 진경산수에서 즐겨 쓰는 부감법이 박 화백만의 독자적인 구도로 연출됐으며 ‘해와 달’ 같은 천체와 자연 환경을 화면에 균형감 있게 배치하여 음양의 조화를 추구하면서 우주의 정기를 드러내고 있다.

풍경과 벽화, 소산체 등 다양한 대상이 지닌 조형성은 각자 서로를 주장하면서도 이어져 있어 폐쇄감과 개방감을 동시에 전달한다. 이렇듯 역동적이고 리듬감이 살아있는 박 화백의 산수는 한반도의 산하가 가지고 있는 기운과 생기를 다시금 일깨워준다.

이들 작품은 박대성 화백이 올해 해외전시 등 바쁜 일정 속에서도 대작을 그려냈다는 점에서 한국화에 대한 그의 열정과 예술혼을 다시 한 번 엿볼 수 있다.

두 대작 외에도 새롭게 공개되는 소장 작품 4점 역시 조선 진경산수(眞境山水)의 기법을 이어 받아, 독창적인 화면구성과 기법을 통해 자신만의 소산수묵을 잘 드러내 보여 준다.

경주엑스포대공원 류희림 대표는 “자기세계에서 기운생동(氣韻生動)을 실현하는 소산수묵을 통해 솔거미술관은 현대적이고 역동성 있는 한국 수묵의 새로운 지평을 열어보고자 한다”며 “많은 관람객들이 찾아 한국화의 매력을 느껴보기를 바란다”고 말했다.
