【브레이크뉴스 경북 경주】이성현 기자=(재)문화엑스포(이사장 이철우 경북도지사)는 최근 한국도로공사노동조합과 상호교류협력을 위한 네트워크 파트너십을 비대면으로 체결하고 다각적인 교류를 추진하기로 했다고 22일 밝혔다.

이번 파트너십 협약은 코로나19의 확산으로 인해 온라인으로 업무협약을 진행하고 협약서를 우편으로 교환해 서명하는 방식으로 진행됐다.

두 기관은 포스트 코로나 시대를 대비하며 미래 관광객 유치를 위해 홈페이지 등 다양한 채널을 활용한 대내외 상호홍보에 적극적으로 협력하기로 했다.

상호 이용확대를 위해 한국도로공사 임직원을 대상으로 경주엑스포공원 이용요금 할인과 시설 인프라 활용에도 뜻을 모았다.

류희림 경주엑스포 사무총장은 “관광지 선택의 주요 기준 가운데 하나가 교통인 만큼 대한민국을 사통팔달로 엮는 한국도로공사가 관광산업 활성화에 미치는 영향이 막대하다”며 “도로공사 노동조합과 협약이 양 기관의 실무적인 협력을 강화하고 포스트 코로나 시대 관광 활성화를 위한 다양한 시너지효과를 만들어낼 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

또 “한국도로공사가 김천혁신도시로 본사를 이전해 자리 잡은 만큼 지역 발전을 위해 지속적인 협력을 이어가겠다”고 덧붙였다.

이지웅 도로공사 노조위원장은 “신라역사와 지역문화 발전을 위해 다양한 콘텐츠를 선보이는 경주엑스포와 협력을 하게 돼 기쁘다”며 “지역 문화관광 활성화에 도움이 될 수 있도록 꾸준하게 노력하겠다”고 전했다.

한국도로공사 노동조합은 5,200여명의 조합원이 가입된 한국도로공사 내 대표 노동조합이다. 이지웅 노동조합 위원장이 지난 6월 12대 위원장으로 선출돼 활동하고 있다.

지난 7월 열린 노조창립 33주년 행사를 통해 조합 간부들이 3년간 모은 성금 3,300만원을 ‘한국백혈병어린이재단’에 기부하는 등 다양한 사회적 네트워크 확대와 공익창출을 위한 지원 및 봉사활동에 노력하고 있다.

경주엑스포는 17만평(56만㎡)규모의 경주엑스포공원에 경주타워와 솔거미술관, 경주엑스포기념관, 문화센터 등을 운영하고 있다. 신라역사문화를 첨단기술로 재해석한 전시, 체험, 공연 등 독창적인 콘텐츠 20여개를 바탕으로 환경과 문화가 함께하는 365일 힐링파크로 상설운영중이다.
