경주엑스포대공원은 24일 오후 경복궁역 내 기마인물상 앞에서 경주엑스포대공원 홍보안내판 제막식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

새롭게 설치된 홍보판은 기마인물형토기 석상의 하단부 4면에 설치됐으며, 기마인물형토기에 대한 설명과 경주엑스포대공원 안내와 사진, 기마인물상을 배경으로 사진을 찍어오면 입장료를 할인해 드린다는 등의 내용을 담고 있다.

류희림 대표는 "서울 등 수도권에 경주엑스포대공원과 경주를 알릴 수 있는 홍보 거점 장소를 선정해 시민들에게 경주를 더 알리고자 하는 목표로 행사를 열게됐다"고 말했다.

이날 제막식에 앞서 경주엑스포대공원은 경복궁 역을 관리하는 ‘서울교통공사’와 상호교류 및 공동발전을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.

이날 주요 협약 내용은 △경복궁역 승강장에 조성된 기마인물형토기 모형상 두 점의 안내판 부착 및 관리를 위한 제반 환경 제공 △모형상 두 점의 안내판 부착 및 유지·보수 △상호 홍보 및 이벤트 추진 등 지원이 필요한 사안에 대한 협력 △모형상의 인증샷을 찍은 지하철 이용시민 및 “공사” 직원에 대한 경주엑스포대공원 이용료 할인 등이다.

한편, 경복궁역 내에는 주인과 시종상(像)이 한 쌍인 국보 제91호 기마인물형토기의 모형 석상이 있다.

말을 탄 인물을 묘사한 한 쌍의 석상은 1924년 경주 금령총에서 출토된 기마인물형토기를 실물 크기로 재현한 것으로 전해진다. 주인상은 호화로운 관모를 쓰고 갑옷을 입었다. 시종상은 상의를 입지 않은 채로 상투를 감아 맨 모습이다.
