【브레이크뉴스 구미】이성현 기자=새마을재단(대표이사 이승종)은 18일 지방자치인재개발원과 공무원 교육 훈련 분야에 대한 교류 협력 강화 및 지속 발전을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

양 기관은 외국 공무원 역량 강화 과정에 지역개발(새마을운동) 관련 교육과정 공동개발과 우리나라를 방문한 외국 공무원들의 현장 견학 지원 등에 교류협력 할 예정이다.

특히 새마을재단은 해외 지역개발사업을 10년간 수행해 다양한 문화권에 이해가 깊고, 거버넌스 구축에 대한 노하우가 축적되어 있어 우리나라를 방문한 외국 공무원에 대한 국가 신인도 향상과 효과적인 교육과정 설계 및 운영을 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

이승종 대표이사는“ 이번 협약을 통해 지방자치인재개발원의 전문적인 교육 시스템과 새마을재단이 보유한 지역개발 역량을 융합하여 양 기관 모두가 WIN-WIN 할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고말했다.

한편 새마을재단은 올해부터 국내사업 분야로 역할을 확대하고 있어 이번 업무협약을 통해 해외 연수 역량을 강화하고 국내 공무원 연수 등 다양한 분야의 국내 새마을사업 발굴을 도모할 방침이다.
