【브레이크뉴스 경주】이성현 기자=경주엑스포대공원(이하 대공원)은 지난 22일 경주솔거미술관 사회공헌프로그램의 일환으로 문화아카데미에서 ‘꿈자람 놀이터’를 열고 경주지역 보호시설인 성애원의 9~13세 아동 14명을 초대해 전통미술과 탈춤을 배우는 즐거운 시간을 가졌다.

23일 대공원에 따르면 이날 아동들은 먼저 2023년 계묘년을 맞아 십이간지에 대한 설명을 듣고 토끼의 특징 관찰 및 발표하는 시간과 토끼를 소재로 한국화 기법을 활용한 수묵화 그리기를 하고 자신이 그린 그림에 대한 소개의 시간도 가졌다.

이어 리어예술단 이다현 대표로부터 ‘탈’에 대한 이야기를 듣고 ‘나만의 탈 꾸미기’와 ‘탈춤’을 배우며 활기찬 시간을 보냈다.

탈 꾸미기를 하는 동안 아동들은 사뭇 진지한 모습으로 마음에 드는 탈을 만들기 위해 알록달록 색을 골라 칠하는 등 정성을 들이는 모습을 보였다.

탈춤 배우기에서는 처음에는 서툰 몸동작에 서로를 쳐다보며 어색해 했지만 이내 선생님의 탈춤 동작을 우스꽝스럽게 따라하는 개구쟁이들로 변신해 웃음을 자아내게 만들었다.

이날 체험교육을 마친 아동 이모(10세)양은 “내가 꾸민 탈을 쓰고 예쁜 선생님에게 탈춤을 배우는 시간이 너무 재미있었다. 다음에도 또 배우고 싶다”며 환한 웃음을 지었다.

이날 ‘꿈자람 놀이터’는 보호시설 아동들에게 문화향유권을 제공하고 아동들이 한국 전통 미술과 춤을 배움으로써 우리 문화예술에 대해 관심을 갖게 하고, 이를 통해 전통문화를 자연스럽게 익힐 수 있도록 하기 위해 마련됐다.

류희림 경주엑스대공원 대표는 “‘꿈자람 놀이터’ 운영을 통해 지역의 문화약자인 보호시설 아동에게 우리의 문화를 알리고 체험하도록 하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다. 앞으로도 다양한 사회공헌 프로그램을 통해 지역 내 문화예술기관으로서의 공익을 실현하고 앞장서 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
