【브레이크뉴스 청도】이성현 기자=청도군(군수 김하수)은 한국관광공사 대구경북지사 주관 ‘2024년 강소형 잠재 관광지 발굴 육성 사업’ 공모에 최종 선정됐다.

군에 따르면 강소형 잠재 관광지 발굴 육성 사업은 한국관광공사가 전국에서 성장 잠재력이 높은 관광지를 발굴하고, 관광지 활성화를 위해 체계적인 컨설팅과 집중 홍보를 통해 새로운 관광명소로 육성하는 사업이다.

이번 공모 선정으로 청도군과 한국관광공사 대구경북지사는 업무협약 체결을 통해 한국관광공사의 사업예산 약 1억 5천만 원을 지원받는다.

이를 통해 청도신화랑풍류마을이 청도군 대표 강소형 관광지로 발돋움할 수 있도록 1년간 관광지 컨설팅, 관광상품 발굴, 다채널을 활용한 홍보마케팅 등 공동사업을 추진하게 된다.

2018년 개관한 청도신화랑풍류마을은 화랑정신을 현대적으로 재해석한 복합문화관광시설로 지난해 8월 스카이트레일(다층형 복합 로프 레포츠) 개장으로 관광객의 이목을 집중하고 있는 관광지이다.

김하수 청도군수는 “이번 지원 사업을 통해 청도신화랑풍류마을이 경쟁력 있는 관광지로 도약하는 기회가 될 것으로 기대된다. 한국관광공사 대구경북지사와 상호 협력하여 다양한 프로그램을 개발하고 홍보하여 지역경제 활성화에 노력하겠다”라고 밝혔다.

As a result of this contest selection, Cheongdo-gun and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk branch of the Korea Tourism Organization will receive support of approximately 150 million won from the Korea Tourism Organization's business budget through the signing of a business agreement.

Through this, joint projects such as tourist destination consulting, discovery of tourism products, and promotional marketing utilizing multiple channels will be promoted for one year to help Cheongdo Shinhwarang Pungryu Village grow into a representative small and medium-sized tourist destination in Cheongdo-gun.

Cheongdo Shin Hwarang Pungryu Village, which opened in 2018, is a complex cultural tourism facility that reinterprets the Hwarang spirit in a modern way. It is a tourist destination that is attracting the attention of tourists with the opening of the Sky Trail (multi-level rope leisure sports) in August last year.

Cheongdo County Governor Kim Ha-su said, “We expect that this support project will be an opportunity for Cheongdo Shinhwarang Pungryu Village to leap forward as a competitive tourist destination. “We will work with the Daegu-Gyeongbuk branch of the Korea Tourism Organization to develop and promote various programs to revitalize the local economy,” he said.
