이날 행사는 식전행사, 기념사 및 축사, 테이프커팅, 기념 촬영 및 내부시설물 관람 순으로 진행됐다.

강동면 행정복지센터는 대지면적 3759㎡, 연면적 1359㎡로, 지상 1~2층 2동 규모로 지난해 1월 착공에 들어가 15개월 간의 공사 기간을 거쳐 지난달 말 건립됐다.

이번 행정복지센터 신축을 위해 사업비 61억원이 투입됐다.

이를 위해 기존 청사를 철거하고 민원실, 농민상담소, 환경미화원 휴게실, 예비군중대본부, 소회의실, 휴게공간, 다목적 공간 등이 포함한 행정복지센터를 신축했다.

경주시는 신축 청사로 다양한 문화·복지·여가활동 공간을 조성해 시민들에게 행정서비스의 질을 향상 시킬 것으로 기대하고 있다.

주낙영 경주시장은 “강동면 행정복지센터가 준공되기까지 많은 힘을 보태고, 묵묵히 기다려준 주민께 감사드린다”며, “지역 주민들에게 더 나은 복지와 서비스를 제공하기 위해 행정력을 집중하겠다”고 밝혔다.
