이번 행사는 단오문화 확산과 글로벌 축제로서의 단오제의 위상을 확립하기 위해 2023년 조직된 전국단오제연합(5개 단오: 강릉, 경산자인,법성포, 광주사직, 전주)에서 주관하며 ‘단오, 단 하나가 되다’라는 주제로열린다. 

특히 공연의 시작과 끝을 (사)경산자인단오제보존회(회장최종규)가 맡아 눈길을 끈다.

오는 6월 8일부터 10일까지 계정숲에서 펼쳐지는 경산자인단오제는 한장군(韓將軍)이라는 인물과 관련되어 있다.

이번행사의 시작을 알리는 호장행렬은 단옷날 아침 한장군(韓將軍) 사당으로제사를지내러 가는 행렬로 수많은 인원과 말이 동원되고 각종깃발로 장관을이룬다.

이날 호장행렬에는 조현일 경산시장 외 150여 명이 참여하여경산자인단오제를 대표하는 퍼포먼스를 펼치게된다.

 마지막 공연도 (사)경산자인단오보존회의 여원무가 장식하게 된다.

여원무는 도천산에 기거하며자인현 주민들을 괴롭히던 왜구들을 버들못으로 유인하기 위해 한장군이 그의 누이와 함께 높이가 3미터나되는 화관을 쓰고 전신을 꽃으로 가리고 추는 춤이다. 화려함과 역동성을 함께 갖춰 청계광장을 찾은 관객들의 눈을 사로잡을 예정이다.

이외에도 이날 공연에는 (사)법성포단오제보존회의 난장트기가 선을보이며,광주사직단오제위원회의 창포머리감기 시연과 가훈써주기 행사,(사)강릉단오제위원회의 떡메치기 체험과 수리취떡 시식 등 다채로운 프로그램이 진행되어 단오문화를 알리게 된다.

경산시는 이번 행사를 통해 지역의 대표적인 민속문화축제인 경산자인단오제를 널리 알리고, 전 국민이 함께하는 문화관광축제로 성장시키는기회로 삼는다는 계획이다.

조현일 경산시장은 “전국의 유명한 단오제가 한자리에 모인 서울 한복판에서경산자인단오제를 선보이게되어 무척 뜻깊다”며 “다음 달 열리는 경산자인단오제는 더 많은 볼거리와 즐길 거리를 준비한 만큼 꼭 방문해주시길 바란다 ”고말했다.
