이번 대회는 두 차례 나눠, 1차는 오는 25일부터 27일까지, 2차는 29일부터 31일까지 경북축구협회와 문경시축구협회가 주최·주관으로 경기가 진행된다.
대회 기간 중 오전 9시부터 12시까지, 오후 5시부터 9시까지 경기가 진행되며, U11 부문에 27개 팀, U12 부문에 30개 팀 총 선수 862명이 참가하여 평소 갈고닦은 기량을 마음껏 펼치게 된다.
전국의 유소년 축구 선수들은 지난 23일부터 문경에 방문하여 24일에는 연습경기를 치르며 대회를 준비하고 대회 기간 중 27일(토)부터는 영강체육공원에서 ‘2024 문경시 영강어린이물놀이 축제’가 진행될 예정으로 문경시 대외 인지도와 브랜드 가치 상승은 물론 지역경제 활성화 효과를 기대하고 있다.
