【브레이크뉴스 고령】이성현 기자=고령군(군수 이남철)은 지난 10월 14일 고령군농업기술센터 딸기육묘장을 방문해 2025년산 딸기 우량모주 생산 추진 현장을 점검했다.

군은 2024년부터 딸기 우량모주 생산 사업을 추진해왔으며, 지난해 생산된 15만 2,400주의 모주를 올해 3월 지역 육묘 농가에 공급했다. 이를 통해 노후 묘 갱신이 가능해지면서 농가의 생산성과 농업 경쟁력 향상에 기여하고 있다.

올해 생산 중인 모주는 경북농업자원관리원에서 공급받은 1만 주의 원묘를 기반으로 유인육묘 방식으로 재배되고 있으며, 2026년에는 약 15만 주를 농가에 공급할 예정이다. 

또한 고령군은 향후 자체 조직배양묘 생산을 통해 농가에 원묘를 안정적으로 공급할 기반도 마련하고 있다. 이를 위해 지난 8~9월에는 유인된 런너에서 생장점 배양을 진행했다.

이남철 고령군수는 이날 실증시험포장도 방문해 재배 중인 딸기, 레몬, 감귤 등을 점검하며 “신기술 개발과 보급을 통해 지역 주작목 산업의 발전을 선도할 수 있도록 철저히 재배에 임해야 한다”고 당부했다.

고령군은 앞으로도 지역 농업 발전과 고품질 모종 생산에 최선을 다할 계획이며, 이에 발맞춰 고령군농업기술센터는 2026년 대서마늘 우량종구 증식보급센터를 구축할 예정이다.

 Goryeong County Inspects Production Site for High-Quality Strawberry Plants for 2025

On October 14th, Goryeong County (Governor Lee Nam-cheol) visited the Goryeong County Agricultural Technology Center's strawberry nursery to inspect the production of high-quality strawberry plantlets for 2025.

The county has been promoting the production of high-quality strawberry plantlets since 2024, and supplied 152,400 plantlets produced last year to local nursery farms in March of this year. This has enabled the renewal of old seedlings, contributing to improved farm productivity and agricultural competitiveness.

The plantlets currently being produced this year are being cultivated using a manned nursery method based on 10,000 seedlings supplied by the Gyeongbuk Agricultural Resources Management Service. Approximately 150,000 plants are scheduled to be supplied to farmers in 2026.

Goryeong County is also establishing a foundation for a stable supply of seedlings to farmers through its own tissue culture seedling production. To achieve this, growth point cultivation was conducted in lured runners from August to September.

Goryeong County Governor Lee Nam-cheol also visited the demonstration test field that day and inspected the strawberries, lemons, and tangerines currently being grown. He urged, "We must be diligent in cultivation so that we can lead the development of the local staple crop industry through the development and dissemination of new technologies."

Goryeong County plans to continue its commitment to local agricultural development and the production of high-quality seedlings. In line with this, the Goryeong County Agricultural Technology Center plans to establish a Daeseo Garlic Premium Seed Propagation and Distribution Center in 2026.
