이번 방문은 고령군 태권도협회와 마안산시 태권도협회 간의 교류 10주년을 기념하는 뜻깊은 행사로 이루어졌다.

마안산시 태권도협회 일행은 고령군에 머무르며 유네스코 세계유산에 등재된 고령 지산동 고분군을 비롯하여 대가야박물관, 대가야생활촌 등다양한 문화관광자원을 탐방하며 고령의 풍부한 문화와 전통을 직접 체험하며 만끽했다.

특히 16일에는 고령군청 우륵실에서 공식 환영 행사가 개최되었다. 이 자리에는 이남철 고령군수, 이철호 고령군의회 의장, 조용흠 고령군체육회장을 비롯하여 고령군 태권도협회(수석 부회장 송영훈)의 임원이참석했다.

환영행사에서는 고령군 홍보영상 시청, 환담, 선물교환 등의프로그램이 진행되었으며, 양측은 우호와 협력의 의지를 더욱 공고히 다졌다.

한편 고령군 태권도협회와 마안산시 태권도협회는 2014년부터 지속적으로 교류하며, 태권도를 매개로 상호 협력을 이어오고 있다.
