【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=(재)경북테크노파크(원장 하인성)는 10월 22일 영남대학교 천마아트센터에서 기후위기 대응과 지역 산업 혁신 방안을 모색하기 위한 ‘경상북도 기후테크 포럼’을 성공적으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 포럼은 경상북도가 주최하고 경북테크노파크가 주관했으며, 도 및 시 관계자, 유관기관, 기업, 학계 등 100여 명이 참석해 기후위기 대응을 위한 기술혁신과 지역산업 성장 전략을 논의했다.

‘기후테크 실현기술 공유 및 협력 네트워킹’을 주제로 진행된 포럼은 기조연설, 전문 세션, 라운드테이블 등으로 구성됐다. 기조연설에서 한국과학기술연구원(KIST) 이현주 책임연구원은 ‘이산화탄소 포집 및 전환기술의 현황과 전망’을 주제로 발표했다.

전문 세션에서는 ▲경상북도 탄소중립 추진 현황과 기후테크 산업 동향(박수형 경상북도탄소중립지원센터 팀장) ▲폐비닐 열분해 산업의 이해 및 전망(이성열 인지이엔티 대표이사) ▲교차오염 폐냉매 고도분별증류정제 기술을 통한 국가온실가스 감축목표 달성 기여방안(황병봉 ㈜오운알투텍 대표이사) 등 기후테크 산업의 구체적 사례와 기술 방향이 공유됐다.

마지막 라운드테이블에서는 ‘경북 기후테크산업 구조 전환을 위한 협력 모델’을 주제로 심도 있는 토론이 진행됐다. 이수출 경북대학교 연구교수를 좌장으로 한 토론에는 한동대학교 이재영 교수, KIST 이현주 연구원, 인지이엔티 이성열 대표, ㈜오운알투텍 황병봉 대표, 경북연구원 김희철 연구위원, 경상북도탄소중립지원센터 박수형 팀장 등이 참여해 지역 차원의 협력 생태계 구축 및 산업 활성화 방안을 논의했다.

경북테크노파크는 감축 정책과 적응 정책을 연계해 기술과 지역의 상호 선순환 구조를 확립하고, 지역 혁신 기업들이 지속가능한 미래를 만들어 갈 수 있도록 지원할 계획이다.

하인성 원장은 “기후테크는 선택이 아닌 필수 산업으로, 경상북도가 선제적으로 기술 기반을 마련하고 산·학·연·관이 협력한다면 새로운 녹색성장의 중심지로 도약할 수 있다”며 “이번 포럼이 지역 기후산업 생태계 조성의 실질적 출발점이 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.

Gyeongbuk Technopark (Director Ha In-seong) announced the successful hosting of the 'Gyeongsangbuk-do Climate Tech Forum' on October 22nd at the Cheonma Art Center of Yeungnam University to explore ways to address the climate crisis and foster regional industrial innovation.

The forum, hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do and organized by Gyeongbuk Technopark, brought together approximately 100 participants, including provincial and municipal officials, related organizations, businesses, and academia, to discuss technological innovation and regional industrial growth strategies for responding to the climate crisis.

The forum, themed 'Sharing Climate Tech Realization Technologies and Collaborative Networking,' consisted of keynote speeches, expert sessions, and roundtable discussions. In the keynote speech, Lee Hyun-joo, a senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), presented on 'Current Status and Prospects of Carbon Capture and Conversion Technologies.'

The specialized sessions shared specific examples and technological directions of the climate tech industry, including: ▲The current status of carbon neutrality efforts in Gyeongsangbuk-do and trends in the climate tech industry (Park Soo-hyung, Team Leader, Gyeongsangbuk-do Carbon Neutrality Support Center); ▲Understanding and Prospects for the Waste Vinyl Pyrolysis Industry (Lee Seong-yeol, CEO of Inzi ENT); and ▲Contributions to National Greenhouse Gas Reduction Goals through Advanced Fractional Distillation Technology for Cross-Contamination Waste Refrigerants (Hwang Byeong-bong, CEO of Own R2Tech).

The final roundtable featured an in-depth discussion on "A Collaborative Model for Structural Transformation of the Gyeongbuk Climate Tech Industry." Moderated by Lee Soo-chul, Research Professor at Kyungpook National University, the discussion included Professor Lee Jae-young of Handong Global University, Researcher Lee Hyeon-ju of KIST, CEO Lee Seong-yeol of Inzi ENT, CEO Hwang Byeong-bong of Own R2Tech, Research Fellow Kim Hee-chul of the Gyeongbuk Research Institute, and Team Leader Park Soo-hyung of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Carbon Neutrality Support Center. Participants discussed ways to build a regional cooperative ecosystem and revitalize the industry.

Gyeongbuk Technopark plans to link mitigation and adaptation policies to establish a virtuous cycle between technology and the region, and support local innovative companies in creating a sustainable future.

Director Ha In-seong stated, "Climate technology is not an optional industry, but an essential one. If Gyeongsangbuk-do proactively establishes the technological foundation and collaborates with industry, academia, research, and government, it can leap forward as a new hub for green growth. I hope this forum will serve as a practical starting point for fostering a regional climate industry ecosystem."
