대구소방안전본부는 소방청이 주관한 ‘2025년 전국 구조대 평가’에서 대구북부소방서 119구조대가 최우수 구조대로 선정됐다고 밝혔다. 이로써 대구소방은 2024년에 이어 2년 연속 전국 상위권 성과를 이어가게 됐다.

‘전국 최강 구조대’ 평가는 소방청이 2023년부터 매년 실시하는 구조 분야 최고 권위의 평가로, 시·도 대표 구조대를 대상으로 ▲구조 활동 전문성 ▲장비 운용 능력 ▲팀워크 및 현장 지휘 ▲안전관리 등 재난 대응 전반을 종합 심사한다.

이번 평가에서 대구북부소방서 119구조대는 건물 붕괴, 교통사고, 수난사고 등 다양한 대형·복합 재난 상황을 가정한 실전형 고강도 훈련을 상시화한 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다. 특히 체계적인 시스템 기반의 팀워크와 신속·정확한 현장 대응 능력이 주요 성과로 인정됐다.

엄준욱 대구소방안전본부장은 “2년 연속 전국 최우수 구조대 선정은 시민의 생명을 지키기 위해 헌신해온 대원들의 노력의 결실”이라며 “앞으로도 현장 대응 역량을 지속적으로 강화해 시민이 가장 먼저 떠올리는 든든한 안전망이 되겠다”고 말했다.

한편 대구소방안전본부는 이번 성과를 바탕으로 계절별·유형별 맞춤형 현장 중심 훈련을 확대해 ‘안전 도시 대구’ 구현에 속도를 낼 방침이다.
