【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구소방안전본부(본부장 정남구)는 소방공무원 272명, 소방차량 등 장비 44대 규모의 강북소방서를 오는 17일부터 본격 운영에 돌입한다고 밝혔다.
11일, 대구소방안전본부에 따르면 칠곡 행정타운(북구 구암서로 71)에 위치한 강북소방서는 칠곡 지역(금호강 북편)의 소방수요 증가와 넓은 관할 면적에도 소방서 부재로 신속한 재난 대응이 곤란하다는 지적에 따라 지난 2021년 10월에 첫 삽을 뜬지 1년 6개월여 만에 완공됐다.
총사업비 371억 6,800만 원을 들여 8,009㎡ 부지에 연면적 6,769.11㎥, 지하 1층, 지상 4층으로 건립된 강북소방서 지하에는 기계실과 주차장, 지상 1층은 차고지와 장비 보관 및 정비, 감염관리실 등 현장 대응에 필요한 시설들이 들어섰다.
지상 2층부터 4층까지는 사무실과 회의실, 소방안전교실, 체력단련실, 훈련 시설, 직원 대기실과 휴게실 등 업무시설과 직원 복지시설 등으로 꾸며졌다.
특히, 직원 휴식과 자기개발, 방문자 접견 등이 가능한 커뮤니티 라운지와 심신 안정실, 야외 정원 등 출동 대원의 스트레스 회복력 강화와 마음건강 치유에 도움을 주는 시설들도 갖췄다.
오는 7월 대구시 편입이 예정된 군위군을 관할하게 되는 강북소방서의 운영으로 칠곡 지역의 재난 골든타임 개선뿐만 아니라, 군위군에서 발생하는 각종 재난에도 효율적 대응이 가능해질 전망이다.
김봉진 초대 강북소방서장은 “7월로 예정된 군위군 편입에도 적극 대비해 강북 지역민과 군위 군민 여러분께 수준 높은 소방 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
