식품 안전관리에 대한 이해를 증진시키고 진로를 탐색하는데 도움을 주기 위해 마련된 이번 프로그램은 사전에 업무협약이 체결된 7개 대학에서 학교장 추천으로 선발된 대학생들에게 식약처의 업무를 소개하고 식품 시험‧분석에 대한 현장실습 기회를 제공했다.
주요 내용은 식약처(대구지방청) 업무소개, 식품 관련 법령 및 공전의 이해, 중금속, 식중독균 등 이화학‧미생물 검사 이론 및 실습, 미래 식약인을 위한 멘토-멘티 토론 등이다.
대구식약청은 2008년부터 동계 방학기간에 시험‧분석 관련 현장실습을 운영해 왔으며, 올해부터는 매년 상․하반기 2차례로 확대․운영할 계획이다.
