이번 점검은 유권자들의 투표 참여를 높이고, 선거 일정과 절차에 대한 이해를 돕기 위한 사전 준비 차원에서 진행됐다. 특히 사전투표와 본투표 일정이 다가오면서 시민 대상 홍보 활동도 본격화될 전망이다.

제9회 전국동시지방선거는 오는 6월 3일 실시되며, 사전투표는 5월 29일부터 30일까지 이틀간 진행된다.
