매년 5월 10일은 선거의 중요성과 의미를 되새기고, 주권의식을 높이기 위해 유권자의 날로 정해 기념하고 있다.

대구시선관위는 ‘제13회 유권자의 날’을 맞아  오는 11일 오후 2시 꼼지공원(서구 중리동 소재)에서 대구청소년문화의집꼼지락발전소와 협업으로 행사를 연다.

투표참여와 희망을 담은「Let’s vote 송」오프닝 공연으로 시작되는 행사에서는 유권자의 날 기념사와 피켓 퍼포먼스, 댄스 축하공연과 OX선거퀴즈 등 다양한 시민 참여형 레크리에이션이 진행된다. 

행사장 곳곳에서는 청소년 100여명이 직접 운영하는 ▶기표마크 달고나 게임 ▶3D 선거소품 만들기 ▶미래유권자 모의 선거교실 ▶나만의 선거포스터 만들기 등 시민 누구나 쉽게 참여할 수 있는 다채로운 이색 체험행사가 펼쳐진다.

대구시선관위 관계자는 “이번 페스티벌이 제22대 국회의원선거 이후 고조된 정치 대립 해소에 기여하고, 시민 소통·공감형 축제를 통해 아름다운 선거 가치를 확산하는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “많은 시민들의 호응과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 당부했다.
