대구시선관위는 오는 7월 22일 대구시 관내 고등학생을 대상으로 제13회 대구광역시 고등학생 토론한마당을 개최한다고 전했다.

토론대회에 참가신청 기간은 5월 8일부터 6월 23일까지로 ‘현행 국회의원 정수를 유지해야 한다’는 토론 주제에 대해 영상과 개요서를 제출하면 된다.

제출된 토론 영상은 7월 4일까지 대구시선관위의 심사를 거칠 예정으로 이를 통해 본선에 진출한 4개 팀은 7월 22일부터 토너먼트 방식으로 우승팀을 가리게 된다.

본선에 참가한 팀에게는 각각 장학금 60만원(금상 1팀), 40만원(은상 1팀), 30만원(동상 2팀)을 지급할 예정이다.

대구시선관위 관계자는 “토론에 대한 관심과 열정을 가진 많은 학생들이 참가해 성숙한 토론문화가 활성화되기를 기대한다.”고 밝혔다.
