【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구광역시선거관리위원회(위원장 한재봉)는 ‘다문화가족 연수’를 실시했다고 1일 밝혔다.

대구시 관내 6개 다문화가족센터에서 총 7회에 걸쳐 진행된 연수에는 결혼 이주여성 및 그 자녀 등 약 150명이 참가했다.

참가자들은 ‘다! 문화, 다! 함께 만드는 선거’를 주제로 한국 선거제도에 대한 이해, 선거 참여의 중요성 등을 학습하고 체험하는 시간을 가졌다.

특히 한국 선거문화에 익숙하지 않은 다문화가족 구성원들에게 실제 투표장비 및 모의투표용지를 활용한 직접 투표 경험을 제공해 참여율과 만족도를 높였다. 

대구시선관위 관계자는 “다문화가족 유권자들이 한국의 선거제도를 바로 알고 투표의 중요성에 공감하는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “이들이 한국사회에 성공적으로 정착해 진정한 대한민국 유권자로 성장할 수 있기를 응원한다”고 전했다.

The Daegu Metropolitan City Election Commission (Chairman Han Jae-bong) announced on the 1st that it had conducted ‘Multicultural Family Training’.

Approximately 150 people, including married immigrant women and their children, participated in the training, which was held seven times in total at six multicultural family centers in Daegu.

A Daegu Metropolitan City Election Commission official said, “We hope that this will be an opportunity for multicultural family voters to learn about Korea’s election system and sympathize with the importance of voting,” and “We hope that they will successfully settle into Korean society and grow into true voters of the Republic of Korea.”
