경북대학교(총장 홍원화)가 ‘대학기술경영촉진(TMC)사업’ 주관기관으로 선정돼 3년간 약 15억 4천만 원의 사업비를 지원받는다고 밝혔다.

과학기술정보통신부와 과학기술일자리진흥원에서 추진하는 ‘대학기술경영촉진사업’은 대학의 기술이전 및 실험실 창업 촉진을 통해 신규일자리 창출에 기여하고 대학이 보유한 공공기술을 토대로 신사업 아이템 발굴·검증을 통해 기업의 사업화 성공을 위한 산․학 협력 생태계 구축을 지원하는 사업이다.

경북대는 이번 사업 선정으로 경북대기술지주(주)와 대구경북과학기술원과 컨소시엄을 구성해 ‘지속가능한 지역 특화형 기술사업화 혁신 모델 구축’을 비전으로 창업 기획자 기능 강화, 기술이전 수익 창출, 기술이전 사업화 전담조직 기능 강화, 기술이전 사업화 전담인력 전문성 강화 등을 중점적으로 추진한다는 계획이다. 

이와 함께 유망기술 및 예비창업자 발굴, 시제품 제작지원, 창업컨설팅, 자금조달, 투자연계 등 포괄적으로 기술사업화를 지원할 수 있는 원스톱 서비스 플랫폼을 구축할 예정이다.
