우리복지시민연합이 4일 성명서를 내고 달성군의회 구자학 의장과 김정태 의원에 대한 즉각적인 사퇴와 재판부의 엄중한 처벌을 촉구하고 나섰다.
구자학 의장은 최근 다른 사람으로부터 개발제한구역 내의 주택 소유자가 인근 다른 개발제한구역 내에 건축 허가를 받아 주택을 옮겨 지을 수 있는 권리를 말하는 ‘이축권’을 사들여 건축허가를 받은 혐의(개발제한구역의 지정 및 관리에 관한 특별조치법 위반) 등으로 불구속 기소되었다.
김정태 의원은 음주운전으로 2차례 벌금(2003년, 2010년)을 받았음에도 지난 1월 27일 만취 상태로 운전하고 도주하다 체포돼 도로교통법 위반으로 불구속 기소된 사실이 뒤늦게 알려졌다.
우리복지시민연합은 "지역주민을 대표해 집행부를 엄중히 감시해야 할 지방의원들이 국민적 원성이 높은 부동산 투기 의혹과 음주운전으로 재판을 받고 있다"며"이축권을 가진 제3자 명의로 농지를 매입해 농업계획서를 허위로 작성하고 제3자 명의로 개발제한구역 내 건축 허가를 받은 의혹이나 되풀이되는 음주운전은 용서받지도 용서해서도 안 되는 범법행위다."고 비판했다.
그러면서 "특히 김 의원은 세 번째 음주운전이고, 구 의장 역시 다른 전과가 있어 이번이 세 번째 재판이다. 이들은 삼진아웃 대상"이라고 질타했다.
단체는 두 의원의 즉각 사퇴를 요구하는 한편 재판부에 이들에 대한 엄중한 처벌을 촉구했다
