우리복지시민연합은 10일 논평을 통해 “대구시가 발간한 민선 8기 2주년 성과집 ‘대구혁신 100+1’에 복지와 돌봄에 대한 내용은 미비해 다른 사업과 격도 맞지 않는 구색 맞추는 수준”이라고 지적했다.

이들은 “대구시는 최초·유일 혁신사례로 전국적 주목을 받았고 성과도 많았다고 자평한다”며 “시장은 대선 출마로 두 번째 사퇴가 유력하고, 경제부시장은 선거법 위반 논란을 자초하며 사퇴 압박을 받는 것 또한 전국 최초·유일 사례가 아닌지 궁금하다”고 꼬집었다.

그러면서 “지난 2년 반 동안 대구에서 복지와 돌봄은 사실상 실종되었다고 해도 과언이 아니다”며 “취임 2년 반 만에 큰 성과를 거뒀다고 자화자찬할 때가 아니라 돌봄을 외면한 것에 대한 반성이 필요하다”고 설명했다.

이들은 “돌봄문제로 인한 시민의 고통과 삶의 질 하락은 외면하면서 2030년, 2050년 미래를 얘기하며 한반도 3대 도시 운운하는 것 자체가 어불성설”이라며 “홍 시장의 청사진은 단지 대선으로 가는 자신의 정류장에 불과하다”고 강조했다.

아울러 “늦었지만 지금부터라도 철저한 정책 검증의 시간이 되기를 촉구한다”고 덧붙였다.
