이어 “인사청문회는 단순한 절차가 아니라 의회가 집행부를 견제하고, 인사권 남용을 막는 중요한 제도”라며 “인사청문회를 생략하는 관행이 굳어지면 조례는 있으나 마나 한 규정으로 전락할 수 있다”고 우려를 나타냈다.
단체는 또한 인사청문회를 피하려는 움직임이 대선이나 주주총회 일정과 같은 외부 이유로 정당화되어서는 안 된다고 지적했다. “집행부와 의회가 짜고 치는 고스톱이 아니라면, 이번 인사청문회는 반드시 열려야 한다”며 “이를 회피하는 것은 시민을 기만하는 행위”라고 비판했다.
