이날 간담회는 전시장 내 안전사고 관련 정보를 공유하고 지역기업들의 현장 애로사항과 건의사항을 청취하기 위해 개최한 간담회가 개최되어 이상길 엑스코 대표이사 사장을 비롯한 엑스코 관계자, 대구광역시 국제통상과 및 13개 지역 마이스 기업 대표 등 24명이 참석한 가운데 진행되었다.

이날 간담회에 참석한 관계자들은 전시장 내 안전사고 유형과 원인을 공유하고 안전관리 필수항목 점검 등 안전강화를 위한 심도있는 논의와 중대재해처벌법 시행에 관한 교육, 안전사고 예방 교육 등을 받으며 안전한 행사 개최를 위해 만반의 준비를 갖췄다.

엑스코는 간담회를 통해 연말 행사를 대비하여 더욱 철저한 안전점검과 시설물 관리를 실시할 계획이라고 밝히며 지역 마이스 업계 관계자들의 협조를 요청했다.

이에 업계 관계자들은 엑스코에 전시장 내 안전사고 발생 시 원인 분석과 조치사항의 즉각적인 공유를 바란다며 안전관리에 적극 협조하겠다는 의사를 밝힌 것으로 알려진다.
