협약을 토대로 양 기관은 보유한 역량과 인프라를 연계해 메타버스 공간을 조성해나갈 예정으로 엑스코가 추진하는 전시장, 회의실의 메타버스 공간 구현은 전국 전시장 가운데 최초의 시도이다.

메타버스 전시장·회의실이 구현되면 국내외 전시·회의 주최자들은 실제 현장에 방문하지 않고도 행사를 구상할 수 있어 신속성과 편의성을 도모할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
