금오공대 스마트그린제조혁신사업단(단장 김태성)과 스마트제조AI융합ICC가 공동 주관하고 경북구미스마트그린산단, (사)한국컨설팅학회가 공동 후원하는 이번 컨퍼런스는 오는 8일 교내 청운대에서 구미지역 기업 대표 및 경제인 협의회 및 단체, 그리고 스마트제조 컨설턴트 등을 대상으로 개최된다.
컨퍼런스는 김태성 단장의 개회사와 곽호상 총장의 환영사를 시작으로 장세용 구미시장과 김영식 국회의원(구미을), 이승희 경북구미스마트그린산단사업단장의 축사가 있을 예정이다.
주제 발표자인 노규성 전 한국생산성본부회장이 ‘디지털 전환 시대, 메타버스로 이루는 제조혁신’을 주제로 발표하고, 이어 송정훈 (재)경북테크노파크 경북스마트제조혁신센터장, 김태원 한국지능정보사회진흥원 수석연구원, 조규민 ㈜이안 상무 등 3명이 패널로 참석한 토의가 이루어질 예정이다.
이번 행사는 앞서 김영식 국회의원이 올해 1월 발의한 ‘메타버스 산업 진흥법안’과 더불어 지난달 국회서 진행된 ‘메타버스 수도 경북 조성을 위한 세미나’를 토대로 지역 제조 산업과 메타버스의 연계 강화를 위해 열렸다.
김태성 스마트그린제조혁신사업단장은 “경북도의 메타버스 수도 조성 관련 국회 세미나에서 논의된 세계적 수준의 메타버스 플랫폼 개발과 메타버스 아카데미 및 융합대학원을 통한 인재양성, 메타버스 전문기업 육성 등 정부의 메타버스 정책방향에 발맞춰 구미지역 제조기업의 미래를 준비하고자 한다.”며 “금오공대 스마트그린제조혁신사업단은 지난해부터 수행하고 있는 스마트제조 고급인력 양성사업 등을 바탕으로 메타버스를 통한 제조혁신을 이끌겠다.”고 말했다.
