오전에는 고아읍 송림리에서 해평면 문량리를 잇는 총 연장 4.6km 규모의 제5단지 진입도로가 완공됐다.
2018년부터 7년에 걸쳐 추진된 이 국책사업에는 총 1,963억 원이 투입됐다. 이 도로는 구미 산업단지의 물류 효율성과 확장성을 크게 높이는 핵심 인프라다.
오후에는 선산읍 체육공원 인근에서 산림휴양타운 조성사업의 기공식과 안전기원제가 열렸다. 총 사업비 322억 원 규모의 이 사업은 지역 주민에게 쾌적한 여가와 치유 공간을 제공하고 선산권의 균형 발전을 목표로 한다.
강 의원은 “주민들의 꾸준한 민원이 이뤄낸 결실”이라며 “제5단지 진입도로가 구미 산업단지 경쟁력 강화와 투자 유치에 큰 역할을 할 것”이라고 말했다. 또한 “선산 산림휴양타운이 전 세대를 아우르는 복합 문화 휴식 공간으로 자리잡도록 사업 완료까지 세심히 살피겠다”고 덧붙였다.
