【브레이크뉴스 구미】이성현 기자=구미시가 4월 25일 새마을중앙시장에서 ‘구미 달달한 낭만야시장’ 개장식을 개최하며 본격적인 야시장 시즌의 시작을 알린다.

구미시에 따르면 올해 야시장은 ▲4월 25일부터 5월 17일까지 매주 금·토요일 총 8회에 걸쳐 새마을중앙시장에서, ▲5월 23일부터 24일, 27일부터 31일까지 총 7회 인동시장에서 각각 운영될 예정이다. 

특히 인동시장 야시장은 2025 구미아시아육상경기선수권대회와 연계해 방문객 유입 극대화를 노린다.

야시장만의 자랑거리인 먹거리 구성은 구미대학교 교수진이 직접 셀러 모집과 품평회를 거쳐 엄선한 업체들로 꾸려졌으며, 선정된 업체에는 조리·위생·친절 교육까지 실시해 ▲K-푸드 ▲할랄 음식 ▲구미 대표 맛집 등 다채롭고 품질 높은 먹거리를 제공할 계획이다.

올해는 시민과 상인이 함께 참여할 수 있는 ▲보이는 라디오 ▲떴다 장터 노래방 ▲번개 경매 등 참여형 콘텐츠가 대폭 확대되며, 가족 단위 방문객을 위한 ▲삐에로 풍선아트 ▲마술·마임 공연 등 체험형 공연도 풍성하게 마련된다. 이 외에도 ▲국악과 성악을 아우르는 다양한 장르의 버스킹 공연 ▲캐리커처 ▲레트로사진관 등 다양한 무료 체험 부스가 방문객들의 오감을 사로잡을 예정이다.

방문객을 위한 특별 이벤트도 눈길을 끈다. 매일 야시장을 방문하거나 시장 내 매대 및 상점을 10곳 이상 이용한 방문객에게는 할인쿠폰을 제공하며, 야시장의 대표 캐릭터인 ‘구미호(好) 걸(girl)’이 진행하는 ‘달달달 게임’을 통해서도 추가 쿠폰을 받을 수 있다.

김장호 구미시장은 “대구경북선 개통으로 유동인구가 늘어난 시점에 개최되는 이번 야시장은 전통시장에 새로운 활력을 불어넣는 계기가 될 것”이라며, “세대와 지역을 아우르는 구미 대표 야시장으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 지속적인 콘텐츠 발굴과 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
