강 의원은 위례신도시 개발 특혜 사건 1심 판결 뒤, 검찰이 항소를 포기한 점을 언급하며 민주당 친명계가 이를 계기로 '조작기소' 주장과 공소취소 요구에 나섰다고 지적했다. 그는 "검찰이 항소를 포기한 이후 민주당은 전국적으로 릴레이 기자회견과 결의대회, 국정조사까지 언급하며 여론몰이에 나서고 있다"며 "이는 결국 사법 정의를 훼손하는 것"이라고 비판했다.

대장동 개발 비리와 관련해서도 강 의원은 "정권의 외압으로 항소가 포기되고, 이에 항의했던 검사들이 좌천되거나 사표를 냈다"고 지적했다. 이어 "정권에 비판적인 검사들은 밀려나고 충성한 인사들은 승진하는 이상한 흐름이 이어지고 있다"며 "이 모든 출발점은 이재명 대통령 재판"이라고 주장했다.

대북송금 사건에 대해서도 "이화영 전 경기도 평화부지사가 대법원에서 유죄 판결을 받았음에도, 민주당은 '연어·술 파티' 등 의혹을 내세우며 조작기소 주장을 거두지 않고 있다"고 말했다. 또 "1심부터 대법원까지 사법부가 유죄를 판단했는데, 이를 부정하려는 시도"라고 꼬집었다.

강 의원은 최근 이어진 대장동·위례신도시 항소포기, 법 왜곡죄 도입 주장, 대법관 증원, 4심제 도입, 배임죄 폐지 논의 등을 언급하며 "이 모든 것들이 결국 이재명 대통령이 받고 있는 5개 재판을 완전히 없애려는 움직임"이라고 설명했다. 그는 이 같은 시도를 '이재명 완전범죄 프로젝트'라고 규정했다.

이재명 대통령이 현재 받고 있는 재판은 공직선거법 위반, 위증교사, 대장동·백현동·위례신도시·성남FC 사건, 대북송금, 경기도 법인카드 유용 등 총 5건이다. 강 의원은 "일부 재판은 정치적 판단으로 일시 중단된 상태지만, 언제든 재개될 수 있다"며 "공소취소로 재판 자체를 없애려는 시도를 반드시 막아야 한다"고 강조했다.

아울러 강 의원은 "재판을 다시 여는 것은 정치적 목적이 아니라, 사법정의와 헌정질서를 지키기 위한 것"이라며 "이재명 대통령의 재판이 멈춰 있는 한, 사법체계와 법질서를 흔드는 시도도 계속될 것"이라고 말했다.

한편 국민의힘은 이날 강 의원을 시작으로 국회와 지역에서 릴레이 기자회견, 1인 피켓 시위, 서명 운동 등을 이어갈 방침이다. 강 의원은 기자회견을 통해 △이재명 대통령 5개 재판의 즉각 속개 △공소취소 여론선동 중단 △대장동·위례신도시 항소포기 관련 특검 도입 △사법부 장악을 위한 입법 중단 등을 촉구했다.
