안보는 보수의 마지막 자존심이었다. 그러나 이제, 진보가 그것을 가져갔다. 정치의 상징은 시대에 따라 변한다. 한때 보수는 “경제는 몰라도 안보만큼은 우리가 책임진다”고 외쳤다. 그러나 이제 그 말은 더 이상 유효하지 않다.

We need a "Republic of Korea-style security strategy," one that goes a step further than the progressives who have talked about nuclear submarines. Otherwise, conservatives will be remembered not as "the force that created the era of security," but as "the force forgotten in the era of security."
