【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구 동구청(구청장 윤석준)이 이달부터 대구 동구 신용동에 위치한 고(故) 노태우 전 대통령 생가 보수를 추진한다고 7일 밝혔다.
노태우 전 대통령 생가는 노 전 대통령이 서거한 2021년 10월 이후 관광객이 꾸준히 증가해 2021년 5만4천 여 명에서 2022년 7만1천 명으로 크게 늘었다.
동구청은 지난해 6월, 생가 안전성 현장자문회의를 개최해 사랑채 건물의 기울어짐 현상과 벽채 균열, 기와의 이완으로 인한 누수 등을 확인했으며 이를 보수하기 위해 지난해 말 시비를 확보했다.
사랑채를 비롯해 외양간 등을 보수할 계획이며, 생가 주변도 정비한다. 사업비는 총 2억1천만원이다.
동구청 관계자는 “관광객 수가 꾸준히 증가함에 따라, 앞으로 지속적인 보수와 관리를 철저히 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
