동구는 오는 7월 1일부터 9월 30일까지 ‘2025년 공동주택 음식물 쓰레기 줄이기 경진대회’를 개최한다.
이번 대회는 여름철 증가하는 음식물 쓰레기를 줄이고, 주민이 함께하는 자원 순환 문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.
대상은 RFID 기반 세대별 종량제를 운영 중인 100세대 이상 공동주택 93곳이다.
동구는 대회 기간 동안 공동주택별 음식물 쓰레기 총배출량과 세대당 평균 배출량을 종합 평가해 우수 공동주택 5곳을 선정할 예정이다. 선정된 곳에는 음식물 쓰레기 수수료 감면 등 인센티브가 제공된다.
동구청 관계자는 “이번 경진대회를 통해 주민들이 일상에서 자원 절감에 동참하고, 지속 가능한 생활문화를 만드는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
