도시 발전 전략도 함께 제시했다. 신천·신암·효목 일대를 메가타운급으로 연결하고, 공항 후적지와 금호강 개발과 연계한 도시 성장 계획을 내놨다. 또 민간 BTL 방식의 주차장 확충과 동대구 역세권 개발을 통해 접근성을 넓히고, 중심업무지구와 주거 환경도 함께 강화하겠다는 방침이다.

우 예비후보는 “명문학교 건립이야말로 지역 균형 발전의 핵심”이라며 “구청장 직속 TF팀을 즉시 가동해 교육 혁신을 이끌겠다”고 말했다.
