개소식에는 강대식 국회의원을 비롯해 박광범 (주)메가젠임플란트 대표 등 300여명의 내빈들과 구민들이 참석했다.
강대식 국회의원은 “우리 동구를 위해서, 동구 구민을 위해서 새로운 첫 발을 내딛는... 누구보다 동구를 사랑하고 잘 아는 우성진 예비후보가 동구 구민을 받들 것이라 생각한다”고 강조했다.
우성진 예비후보는 “동구의 10년, 20년 후 미래먹거리를 위해 현장과 소통하고, 실질적인 정책으로 펼쳐나갈 수 있는 경영 전문가 구청장이 되겠다”며 “현실에 안주하지 않고 더 큰 일을 하기 위해 발로 뛰며 동구의 미래를 실현하는 구청장이 되겠다”고 말했다.
이어 “K2 대구공항 이전으로 인한 후적지 개발을 포함한 경제 중심의 동구, 제2 대구의료원 유치로 의료 복지 중심 동구, 맛과 멋을 함께 즐기는 식품 관광거점 동구, 4차 순환선 개통으로 사통팔달의 신물류 경제거점 동구로 만들어 나가겠다”고 동구 발전 계획을 발표했다.
