【브레이크뉴스 경북 】이성현 기자= 군위군 김진열 군수는 1일 군청 회의실에서 열린 강대식 국회의원과의 예산정책협의회에 참석해 강의원의 군위군에 대한 관심에 깊은 감사를 표했다. 

김 군수 외에도 이날 행사에 참석한 군위군의회 의원과 박창석 대구시의회 문화복지위원장, 그리고 군위군 소속 공무원들도 강 의원의 방문을 환영하며 김 군수와 함께 “감사하다” 전했다.

최규종 의장은 “대구경북 통합과 신공항 문제들이 아직 해결되지 않은 부분들이 있는데, 이에 대하여 기탄없는 이야기를 나눌 수 있는 자리가 되었으면 한다”고 환영했다. 군위가 지역구인 대구시의회 박창석 위원장은 “강의원님의 군위 신경에 감사하다” 인사하고 “시의회 가 있더라도 나의 가장 큰 관심은 군위군이다. 열심히 하겠다”고 말했다. 

강 의원은 “민선 8기 반환점 시점에서 후반기 의장단들과 함께 예산 다룰 시간을 갖게 됐다”며 “그동안 2년 열심히 잘 달려와 주셨다. 앞으로 2년 어떻게 지혜롭게 달려갈 것인지...하나하나 꼼꼼하게 다뤄 보고 싶다. 다만, 부족한 시간이 아쉽다”며 앞으로의 군위 방향은 오늘 함께 하신 여러분들에게 달려 있다. 원팀이 되어 군위 사업을 위해 매진했으면 좋겠다. 소통과 협치의 당과 정이 돠었으면 좋겠다“고 화답했다.

이날 강 의원은 당초 예정 순서를 조정하기 위해 군위군 현안에 대한 자료를 3회 가량 정독하고 회의에 참석했다. 회의는 강 의원이 질의하고 군위군이 필요로 하는 부분에 대하여 답변하는 순서로 변경 진행됐다. 

강 의원은 첫 질문으로 군위군의 재정 자립도를 물었다. 그는 세수 확보에 대한 고민을 군 공무원들에게 주문하면서 ”언제든 제 방의 문을 두들겨 달라“고 말했다. 

대구 도심 군부대 이전에 대한 이제까지의 상황을 설명한 강 의원은 ”상임위를 국방으로 간 것은 군부대 이전 문제까지를 매듭짓기 위해서“라며 ”곧 국방부의 용역 결과가 나올 것이다. 군부대 이전이 우리가 열망하는 대로 이뤄지기를 바라고, 그렇게 될 수있도록 적극적으로 힘을 보탤 것“이라고 말했다. 

이날 강 의원은 군위군이 제출한 현안 사업들 가운데 일부에 대하여는 우선 순위를 조정해 줄 것을 요청했다. 또, 대구시로 편입 됐을 때와 경북도 군위군으로 있을 때의 장단점도 요약해 달라고 했다. 군위군민들의 니즈를 정확하게 파악하면서 군위군과 보조를 맞추겠다는 의도로 해석된다. 

이날 회의에는 김진열 군위군수를 비롯해 김희석 부군수를 비롯해 군위군 관계 공무원 10여명과 강대식 국회의원 및 당협 관계자, 그리고 대구시의회, 군위군의회 의원 등 약 20여명이 참석했다.
