이번 자문단은 경북대학교 차세대에너지기술연구소 이수출 교수, 한국에너지공단 정군모 본부장 등 에너지 정책과 기술 분야의 전문성을 갖춘 인사들로 구성됐다.

군위군은 대구경북신공항 건설과 첨단산업단지 조성 등 대규모 개발을 앞두고 있는 만큼, 안정적인 에너지 공급체계 구축과 지속가능한 정책 방향을 마련하기 위해 민간자문단을 발족했다. 앞으로 자문단은 군위군 에너지계획 수립, 에너지 효율화, 주민 참여 확대 등 다양한 분야에서 전문 자문 역할을 맡는다.

김진열 군수는 “민간 전문가와 함께하는 자문단 출범이 군위군의 지속가능한 에너지 전환과 지역경제 활성화의 중요한 발판이 될 것”이라며 “군민이 체감할 수 있는 에너지 자립도시 실현을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
