지난 22일 군위군발전협의회(회장 김원주)는 군공용화기사격장 후보지 신청철회를 촉구하는 집회를 열었다.

이날 삼국유사면에서 의흥, 산성, 우보면을 거쳐 군위군청에 도착한 군위주민 100여명은 성명서를 통해 입장을 밝혔다.

이들은 “김진열 군수가 군민들에게 어떤 설명도 없이 천혜의 문화관광벨트인 의흥면과 삼국유사면을 군공용화기 사격장 후보지로 신청했다”며 “삼국유사면은 군민의 생명수인 식수원 상류지역”이라고 설명했다.

그러면서 “김진열 군정의 난맥상과 불통이 어제오늘 일은 아니지만 군위군민의 삶에 심각한 피해가 뻔한 군공용화기 사격장 신청조차 군민들을 비롯한 후보지 지역주민을 철저히 무시하는 오만방자한 모습을 보였다”고 꼬집었다. 

이들은 “군공용화기 사격장 후보지 신청과정을 군민에게 낱낱이 공개하고 공론화 과정을 거쳐야한다”고 강조했다.

김원주 군위발전협의회장은 “군민들의 정당한 요구가 받아들여지지 않으면 김진열 군수와 군의원들의 사퇴운동에 나설 것”이라고 밝혔다.
