5일 금오공대 본관 중회의실에서는 국립금오공대, 국립창원대, 한국산업단지공단 경북지역본부 및 경남지역본부가 지역 인재 양성을 위해 교육기반 구축과 정주여건 개선 지원을 약속하는 협약식이 개최됐다.

이날 협약식에는 국립금오공대 곽호상 총장, 박상희 산학협력부총장, 주백석 기획협력처장을 비롯해 국립창원대 박민원 총장, 박종규 산학부총장, 조영태 기획처장, 그리고 한국산업단지공단 문문철 경북지역본부장, 박병규 경남지역본부장 등 각 기관 관계자 20여 명이 참석했다. 

협약의 내용은 ▶현장중심형 산학연 교육과정 및 프로그램 개발 ▶지역사회와 지역산업에 필요한 지역특화형 인재 양성 ▶인적자원 선발 및 재직자 역량 강화 ▶산업현장 맞춤형 인재양성 프로그램 공동개발 및 운영 ▶인재 양성을 위한 교육기반 구축과 정주여건 개선을 위한 지원 등에 관한 사항이다.

금오공대 곽호상 총장은 “4개 기관이 지역의 혁신과 발전을 위한 상생 협력을 모색하기로 했다”며 “지역의 혁신 주체로서 각 기관의 자원 및 인프라의 실질적인 공유와 연계를 추진해 지역 및 국가산업단지의 미래 경쟁력 강화에 기여할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
