【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=국립금오공과대학교(총장 곽호상)에 위치한 경북 구미 강소특구육성사업단이 우수 창업자 경진대회를 통해 선발된 13팀에게 총 2억 원의 시제품 제작비를 지원한다고 23일 밝혔다.

경북 구미 강소특구육성사업단(단장 권오형)은 기술창업과 지역경제 활성화를 위해 ‘2022년 강소특구 이노폴리스 캠퍼스 사업 우수 창업자 경진대회’를 개최했다.

사업단은 지난 11일 교내 공동실험실습관에서 예비창업자 11개 팀, 초기 창업자 7개 팀 등 총 18개 팀이 참여한 가운데 경진대회를 개최하였으며 예비·초기 창업자들의 기술창업 사업계획서와 발표평가를 거쳐 17일 최종 13팀을 선정했다.

심사위원들은 △기술성 △실현가능성 △사업성 및 시장성 △수행역량 등의 심사기준을 거쳐 

예비창업자 아쿠아헤븐(대표 박동재)의 ‘자동으로 환수해주는 IoT장치 자동환수장치’, 초기창업자 디알아웃도어(주)(대표 송한수)의 ‘다용도로 가변 사용이 가능한 2in1 접이식 오토 캠핑 어닝’등을 선정했다. 

이들에게는 최대 2,500만 원, 총 2억 원의 시제품 제작비 사업화 지원금이 지원되고 맞춤형 멘토링을 비롯해 기술사업화와 마케팅 전략, 사업화 자금조달 및 투자 유치 전략 등의 심화교육도 제공될 예정이다.

경북 구미 강소연구개발특구의 기술핵심기관인 금오공대에 위치한 경북 구미 강소특구육성사업단(단장 권오형)은 지난해부터 지역 내 기술 창업을 준비하고 있는 예비 창업자와 3년 이내 창업기업을 대상으로 창업의 전반적인 과정을 지원하고 있다. 

올해 예비 창업자 18개 팀과 초기 창업자 8개 기업 등 총 26개 팀을 선발해 △디자인씽킹 △지식재산권 확보 △BM 수립 등 다양한 기술창업 필수교육으로 구성된 이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업을 진행했으며, 이들을 대상으로 이번 경진대회를 개최해 선발된 우수 창업자에게 본격적인 지원을 추진하는 것이다. 

권오형 경북 구미 강소특구육성사업단 단장은 “구미강소특구 내 유망 아이템을 보유한 창업가들을 대상으로 초기 교육부터 시제품 제작비 지원까지 적극적으로 지원하고 있다”며, “예비(초기) 창업자들의 역량 강화를 통해 이들이 지역 경제를 이끌어가는 주역으로 성장할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
