대구한의대는 경운대학교 LINC 3.0사업단과 경상북도가 주최하고 대구경북 LINC 3.0사업협의회가 주관한 ‘제4회 경북도내 대학생 지역사회 현안문제 해결방안 경진대회’에서 대상을 수상하면서 2019년부터 4년 연속 대상을 수상하는 쾌거를 이뤘다고 20일 밝혔다.

이번 대회에는 대구한의대 서강팀이 대상(경북도지사상)을, Dream High Academy팀이 우수상(대구대총장상)을, Here’O팀과 건강하니로드팀이 각각 장려상을 수상하며 관심을 모았다.

지난해 11월부터 시작된 이 대회는 매년 경북도내 현안문제를 해결하기 위하여 참신한 아이디어 도출과 이를 바탕으로 한 지역상생 협력 프로그램 개발 등 지역혁신활동 촉진을 목표로 기획되어 올해는 도내 9개 대학, 13개 팀이 경합을 벌였다.

대상을 수상한 서강(胥强)팀(책임교수 한방스포츠의학과 김홍, 팀장 권혜민)은 화장품공학부, 노인복지학과, 바이오산업융합학부 등 다양한 전공 융합형 팀으로 알려진다.

이들은 농어촌지역 및 지방자치단체와 연계하여 국내 농식품 공급과정에서 발생되는 잉여 농수산물에 대한 문제점과 노인 일자리 부족 문제 해결을 위해 잉여농수산물을 활용한 노년층 일자리 부족문제 해결 경북형 세대협력 로컬 밥집, 같이먹을까 라는 아이디어를 제시해 채택되었다.

해당 아이디어는 농수산물 유통과정에서 많이 발생하는 잉여 농수산물 문제를 개선하기 위하여 유휴공간을 식당으로 활용한다는 점에서 참신성과 효용성 측면에서 좋은 평가를 받았으며 잉여 농수산물 감소를 통한 경제적 가치 창출과 이에 따른 환경오염 감소, 노년층의 사회활동 참여를 통한 일자리 창출이 가능하다는 점에서 높은 지지를 받았다.

서강(胥强)팀의 김다은(화장품공학전공 4학년) 학생은 “이번 경진대회를 준비하는 과정에서 주민분들과 지역기관의 적극적인 협조, 그리고 팀원들간 단단한 팀워크를 통해 지역사회의 다양한 문제를 파악하게 되었고 학교의 도움으로 이를 실행해 볼 수 있는 매우 뜻 깊은 기회를 가지게 되어 감사하게 생각한다.”고 대상의 소감을 밝혔다
