【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈) 국제협력선도대학사업단(단장 유왕근)은 2월 24일부터 25일까지 베트남에서 호치민기술대학교(HCMUT)와 공동으로 국제학술대회, 화장품 제조 실습 교육, 지역사회 봉사활동 등을 진행했다.

2월 25일, 호치민 렉스호텔에서 열린 ‘LUPIC 2025: International Conference on Cosmetic Engineering’에는 대구한의대, 호치민기술대학교, 다낭과학기술대, 반랑대 교수진을 비롯해 베트남 학계 및 기업 관계자, 경상북도 호치민사무소 관계자 등 약 100여 명이 참석했다.

대구한의대의 유왕근 단장은 기조연설에서 LUPIC 사업과 주요 활동을 소개하며, 학술대회에서는 △산학협력 성과 및 시스템 △양국 화장품 산업 및 시장 동향 △화장품 교육 및 연구 방향 등이 논의됐다. 또한, 대구한의대 화장품학과 학생들의 연구 포스터 전시와 기술이전 제품 소개도 이루어졌으며, 현지 관계자들의 높은 관심을 받았다. 특히, 베트남 다낭과학기술대 관계자는 대구한의대와의 학생 교류 및 화장품·뷰티 분야 협력을 희망한다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사에서는 호치민기술대학교 화장품 전공 실험실에서 양교 학생들이 바디워시 제조 및 제품 포장 실습을 함께하며 실무 역량을 키웠다. 또한, Tran Khai Nguyen 고등학교에서 진행된 지역사회 봉사활동에서는 베트남 학생들에게 피부관리법과 위생관리 교육을 제공하고, 대구한의대 학생들이 직접 만든 바디워시 250개를 배포했다.

호치민기술대학교 Nhan 교수는 "이번 학술대회를 통해 베트남 화장품 산업에서 산학연관 협력과 전문 인력 양성의 중요성을 다시 한번 확인했다"며, "행사를 지원한 대한민국 정부와 대구한의대에 감사드린다"고 전했다.

유왕근 단장은 "이번 행사를 통해 대구한의대의 국제협력 사업을 베트남에 알리고, 우수한 산학협력 및 교육·연구 시스템을 소개하는 기회가 됐다"며, "향후 양국의 천연소재를 활용한 차별화된 화장품 개발을 위해 교수진 간 공동 연구를 적극 추진할 계획"이라고 밝혔다.

국제협력선도대학사업은 교육부가 7년간 총 25억 원을 지원하는 국가 공적개발원조사업(ODA)으로, 대구한의대가 주관하여 호치민기술대학교에 베트남 최초의 화장품공학 전공을 신설하고, 교육과정 개발 및 인프라 구축을 지원하는 사업이다. 현재 이 사업은 4차 연도에 접어들며, 양국 간의 협력과 발전을 위해 중요한 역할을 하고 있다.

 Daegu Haany University Holds International Academic Conference and Cosmetic Manufacturing Practical Training in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

Daegu Haany University (President Byun Chang-hoon) International Cooperation Leading University Project Group (Director Yoo Wang-geun) held an international academic conference, cosmetics manufacturing practical training, and community service activities in Vietnam with Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (HCMUT) from February 24 to 25.

On February 25, approximately 100 people attended the ‘LUPIC 2025: International Conference on Cosmetic Engineering’ held at the Rex Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, including professors from Daegu Haany University, Ho Chi Minh University of Technology, Danang University of Science and Technology, and Van Lang University, as well as Vietnamese academics and businesspeople, and Gyeongsangbuk-do Ho Chi Minh Office officials.

Daegu Haany University Director Yoo Wang-geun introduced the LUPIC project and its main activities in his keynote speech, and the conference discussed the following: △Achievements and systems of industry-academia cooperation, △Trends in the cosmetics industry and market in both countries, and △Directions for cosmetics education and research. In addition, the exhibition of research posters by students of the Department of Cosmetics at Daegu University of Oriental Medicine and the introduction of technology transfer products were held, which received great interest from local officials. In particular, an official from the Vietnam Danang University of Science and Technology expressed his hope for student exchanges and cooperation in the cosmetics and beauty sectors with Daegu University of Oriental Medicine.

At this event, students from both universities worked together in the cosmetics laboratory of Ho Chi Minh University of Technology to develop practical skills by manufacturing body wash and packaging products. In addition, in a community service activity held at Tran Khai Nguyen High School, skin care and hygiene management education was provided to Vietnamese students, and 250 body washes made by Daegu University of Oriental Medicine students were distributed.

Professor Nhan of Ho Chi Minh University of Technology said, “Through this academic conference, we have once again confirmed the importance of industry-academia cooperation and training of professional personnel in the Vietnamese cosmetics industry,” and added, “I would like to thank the Korean government and Daegu University of Oriental Medicine for supporting the event.”

Director Yoo Wang-geun said, "This event was an opportunity to introduce Daegu University of Oriental Medicine's international cooperation project to Vietnam and introduce excellent industry-academia cooperation and education/research systems," and added, "We plan to actively promote joint research among faculty members in the future to develop differentiated cosmetics using natural materials from both countries."

The International Cooperation Leading University Project is a national official development assistance (ODA) project in which the Ministry of Education provides a total of 2.5 billion won over 7 years. Daegu University of Oriental Medicine is leading the project to establish Vietnam's first cosmetics engineering major at Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and to support curriculum development and infrastructure construction. This project is currently in its 4th year and is playing an important role in cooperation and development between the two countries.
