【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈)는 한의약진흥원의 지원으로 ‘한의약 해외교육·연수 지원 사업’을 통해 5월 우즈베키스탄과 튀르키예 현지 의과대학 재학생을 대상으로 한의학 교육을 실시했다.

지난 5월 2일과 3일 우즈베키스탄 안디잔국립의과대학, 5일 타슈켄트국립소아의과대학에서 송지청 교수와 송영일 교수가 한의학 교육을 진행했다. 이어 12일부터 16일까지 튀르키예 리젭 타입 에르도안 대학과 아타투르크 대학에서 90여 명의 학생을 대상으로 송지청, 이봉효, 송영일 교수진이 침법과 한방재활의학 등 이론과 실습을 병행한 강의를 진행해 큰 호응을 얻었다.

이번 방문을 통해 대구한의대는 각 대학과 한의학 학점 인정 협약을 체결했으며, 교육을 수강한 학생들에게 1학점의 전공 학점이 인정된다.

리젭 타입 에르도안 대학 3학년 에리프 학생은 “대한민국 대구한의대에서 직접 한의학 강의를 들어 한의학의 우수성을 체감할 수 있어 뜻깊었다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 송지청 교수는 “튀르키예 학생들의 뜨거운 관심에 감동했으며 앞으로도 지속적으로 한의학 교육을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

대구한의대는 2024년부터 한의약진흥원 공모 사업에 선정돼 우즈베키스탄과 몽골 등지에서 한의학 전공 과정을 운영했으며, 2025년에는 튀르키예를 시작으로 교육 범위를 넓힐 계획이다.

변창훈 총장은 “튀르키예에서 처음 시행한 이번 해외교육은 K-MEDI 실크로드 프로젝트의 출발점으로, 한의학 산업화와 세계화를 위한 기반이 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Daegu University of Oriental Medicine (President Byun Chang-hoon) conducted Oriental medicine education for local medical school students in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in May through the ‘Overseas Education and Training Support Project for Oriental Medicine’ with the support of the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine Promotion.

On May 2 and 3, Professor Song Ji-cheong and Professor Song Young-il conducted Oriental medicine education at Andijan State Medical University in Uzbekistan and on May 5 at Tashkent State Pediatric Medical University. Then, from the 12th to the 16th, Professors Song Ji-cheong, Lee Bong-hyo, and Song Young-il conducted lectures on acupuncture and Oriental rehabilitation medicine, combining theory and practice, for about 90 students at Turkey’s Rijep Type Erdogan University and Ataturk University, receiving a great response.

Through this visit, Daegu University of Oriental Medicine signed an agreement with each university to recognize credits for Oriental medicine, and students who took the course will be recognized as one credit for major credits.

Erif, a third-year student at Rijep Type Erdogan University, said, “It was meaningful to be able to attend a lecture on Oriental medicine directly at Daegu University of Oriental Medicine in Korea and experience the excellence of Oriental medicine.” Professor Song Ji-cheong said, “I was touched by the passionate interest of the Turkish students and will continue to provide Oriental medicine education in the future.”

Daegu University of Oriental Medicine has been selected for the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine’s public offering project since 2024 and has operated a major course in Oriental medicine in Uzbekistan and Mongolia, and plans to expand the scope of education starting with Turkey in 2025.

President Byeon Chang-hoon said, “This overseas education, which was first implemented in Turkey, is the starting point of the K-MEDI Silk Road Project and will serve as the foundation for the industrialization and globalization of Oriental medicine.”
